FAR 1.80 is now open source and freeware.
At the moment of creating this page (30 October 2007), FAR 1.80
is an early alpha hardly suitable for real life use. But in the future
it should become a better version than 1.70. FAR 1.80 supports
Unicode and it makes handling of non-English file names simpler
and more reliable.
